The Architecture, Urban Design and Environmental Activism in Contemporary Pakistan workshop was held at Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Karachi, on May 12-13, 2023. Organized by Iftikhar Dadi (Cornell), Farhan Karim (U of Kansas), and Faiza Mushtaq (IVS), the workshop brought together scholars and environmental designers based in Pakistan (architects, urban planners, landscape designers, urban researchers & design educators) who are exploring diverse models of research, practice, and pedagogy to address land rights and climate related insecurity in Pakistan. There were 15 presentations spread over 2 days.
