"The Ethics of Staying: Social Movements and Land Rights Politics in Pakistan"

Mubbashir Rizvi, AIPS Executive Committee Member, was interviewed on Chapati Mystery about his new book titled, The Ethics of Staying: Social Movements and Land Rights Politics in Pakistan. Rizvi uses his original framework, the Anjuman Mazarin Punjab (AMP), to examine state and society relations in Pakistan. He also "offers a glimpse of Pakistan that challenges its standard framing as a hub of radical militancy, by opening a window into to the everyday struggles that are often obscured in the West's terror discourse." Find more details on Dr. Rizvi's book at Stanford University Press's website.
