AIPS Announces Summer Research Grant

2013 Summer Research/Travel Grants in Pakistan

AIPS is delighted to be able to offer research/travel grants to Pakistan for summer of 2013. These grants are open to all and we strongly encourage graduate students enrolled in a US university to apply. If you are selected, you will be asked to become an AIPS Individual Member prior to receiving your award. See below for eligibility and application instructions.

Eligibility:

• No citizenship restriction
• Must be affiliated with a US academic institution

How to apply:

• Submit a one-page proposal/research statement
• Submit a current CV
• Submit one letter of recommendation (graduate students only)
• Send all application materials via email to: aips@pakistanstudies-aips.org

Funding Information:

• 5 grants will be awarded at $3,000 for each award
• Funds can be used to cover airfare and living expenses
• Travel must take place between May 15^th, 2013 and December 31, 2013

Deadline:

May 5^th, 2013

Notes to applicants:

1. Graduate students of any nationality are encouraged to apply.
2. AIPS can provide a letter for the Pakistani visa application, but acquiring the visa is the responsibility of the applicant.
3. Awards can be used anywhere in Pakistan.
